Ausstellung 2020:

"Ein länglicher Weg"

My Exhibition from 2020 showed how the small and big perspectives in the Nature often ends up being more similar as we expect.

I tried to capture a special view on bark, trunks, woodland etc. To achieve it, I followed the self-instruction of seeing the Nature as it is meant to be seen. Get on the eye-level of those who form and use the Nature as intended and without profit.

Our ‘presocialized’ view is tricking us in some way, that even if we know, that it is bark, we get forced to see:

destroyed cities, city skylines, skyscrapers or at least a “touristic interesting view where I would like to go in my next holidays” - comments during the exhibition.

Abstracting those pictures by using the “tool” of black and white I achieved an impressive and slightly overwhelming feeling in the photographs. My exhibition followed the intention to show the effect told at the beginning – show the small and big perspectives. This main conflict led to a specific way to present the photos. The recipient got leaded thru the exhibition by getting “lured” by impressive and massive photos.

I had the most stunning photos printed on almost 2m paper. The immersion in a new world was thus stimulated. After the first steps in the right direction, the discovery of windows in this fabulous “stage-world” got deepened by subtle framed smaller photos (~80cm) in white wooden frames. The recipient got accompanied along some minimalistic photos. The destination, they ended up being a dead end where I placed the most inspiring and dreamy photos to “round it all up”. Again, following the premise of showing a circular vison, the last and central Work is a massive but also inviting photo (triptych), requiring an amplified confrontation with sublimity and fainting.
